Microsoft CEO Skypes over White Space

The TV White Space project by Microsoft Research has been carrying out pilots to connect rural communities in Africa and India to the internet. On the 29th July 2015, students at the Kasturba Gandi Girls Residency School in Srikakulam (India) received a Skype call over a TVWS link from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Nadella was in Nanyukki (Kenya) at the time, connected to the internet over another TVWS link! You can watch a video of the call below.
