The Indian Government has announced the issue of 8 experimental TVWS licenses in the 470-583 MHz band. Professor Nwana, executive director of the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance, has said this allocation “will be key to bridging the digital divide in India”. The 8 organisations selected to receive these trial licenses include ERNET India and the International Institute for Information Technology.
